Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and Crew Trips LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company that operates LayoverTips. By accessing layover.tips, creating an account, subscribing, or using any LayoverTips guide, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The Service

LayoverTips is an independent digital subscription publication for airline crew and travel readers. The service may include destination guides, newsletters, member-only posts, downloadable resources, affiliate links, and related editorial products.

We may update, add, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice for material changes.

2. Subscriptions, Renewal, and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Subscription price, billing frequency, trial terms if any, and renewal terms are shown before checkout.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, paid subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel anytime.

When signed in, open Account and follow the cancellation option in your member account. If you cannot access your account or need help cancelling, email support@layover.tips with the subject line CANCEL. We will acknowledge email cancellation requests within one business day.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access through that period unless your account is terminated for material breach. We do not provide partial-month refunds except as described in the Refund Policy or as required by law.

3. Eligibility and Account Security

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity on your account.

Do not share your account credentials or use another person's account without permission.

4. Personal Use License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access LayoverTips content for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, redistribute, or publicly post substantial parts of paid guide content;
  • share account credentials;
  • scrape, mine, bulk export, or use automated tools to extract content;
  • use the service or content to train a machine-learning model;
  • reverse-engineer the editorial, scoring, or curation process;
  • use the service in a way that violates law or third-party rights.

5. Intellectual Property

LayoverTips content is owned by Crew Trips LLC or licensed to us. Your subscription gives you access, not ownership.

If you send feedback, suggestions, corrections, or ideas, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback to improve the service.

6. Editorial Information and Travel Risk

LayoverTips is editorial information, not professional advice. Prices, opening hours, transit routes, visa rules, safety conditions, event schedules, partner availability, and local laws change frequently.

You are responsible for verifying time-sensitive information with primary sources before relying on it. Travel involves inherent risks, including theft, illness, injury, accidents, weather disruption, political instability, terrorism, natural disasters, denied entry, and third-party service failures. LayoverTips is not a substitute for government travel advisories, professional medical advice, employer policies, or travel insurance.

Health-related content is informational only. Consult a licensed medical professional when needed.

7. Safety and Accommodation Privacy

We do not publish specific crew accommodation details, exact lodging locations, lodging-adjacent pickup points, or operational breadcrumbs that could identify where working crew stay.

Any accommodation-related guidance is intended to be origin-agnostic. Set your own accommodation as the origin in a trusted maps app and verify transit, rideshare, and walking conditions before committing.

Some LayoverTips links are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you purchase through those links at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate partners do not pre-approve our editorial recommendations. Commission rates do not determine whether something is recommended. If a product, place, or service stops being useful for the audience, we may remove it.

We are not the merchant of record for third-party purchases, bookings, eSIMs, reservations, tickets, apps, transportation, or products. Third-party purchases are governed by the provider's own terms, privacy policy, cancellation rules, and refund rules.

We are not responsible for third-party pricing, availability, safety, performance, content, policies, or service failures.

9. No Airline Affiliation

LayoverTips is independently operated. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any airline, airline employee group, airline union, airport, government agency, booking provider, card network, or destination authority unless we state a specific partnership in writing.

All trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners. Mention of a brand does not imply endorsement.

10. Currency and Price Information

Currency conversions, price ranges, and estimated costs are informational only. Exchange rates and provider prices change. Verify final pricing, fees, exchange rates, refundability, and local taxes before paying.

11. Local Law

Activities described in guides may be regulated differently across jurisdictions, including alcohol, cannabis, photography, drone use, transport, venue entry, dress codes, payments, currency exchange, and restricted areas.

You are responsible for complying with applicable local law, employer policy, and visa or entry requirements.

12. AI-Assisted Content

Some LayoverTips content may be drafted, summarized, checked, or edited with assistance from artificial intelligence tools. We review content before publication, but AI-assisted or human-edited material can still contain errors. Report corrections to support@layover.tips.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service or cancel your subscription anytime.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay after renewal attempts, share credentials, scrape content, abuse refund or chargeback processes, threaten staff, commit fraud, or use the service unlawfully.

If we terminate for material breach, your access ends immediately and prepaid fees for the current billing period are not refundable except where required by law.

14. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crew Trips LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and security.

You assume all risk for decisions you make based on LayoverTips content.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crew Trips LLC and its members, managers, employees, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, travel disruption, denied entry, theft, injury, illness, or third-party action.

Our total cumulative liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.

This limitation does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Wyoming law, except where federal law or mandatory consumer-protection law applies.

Before filing a formal claim, contact support@layover.tips with a clear description of the issue so we can try to resolve it informally.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. We will email material changes at least 30 days before they take effect where practical. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
